I have been working at Covidien full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Large responabilities, very involved with the front line of product development of new products, get to design actual products by yourself and with team members. Get to take part in the management and meeting side of engineering as well as manufacturing and R&D. Very flexible with school schedules and classes.

    Cons

I cannot come up with a single con for this company. It is a great place to work and everyone is really friendly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Covidien as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

A very few managers really do care about their reports

    Cons

Too many managers, directors, and principals that don't have a clue how to run manufacturing business

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the nepotism & hiring from state schools - get some real talent. Recent implementation of product/process development controls is a disaster - too inflexible and cumbersome to get things done in a timely fashion. One size does not fit all, Jose A.
