Pros – Graduate student stipend and benefits afford good lifestyle in Ithaca. High quality researchers and labs available. World class libraries and subscriptions to journals and services.
Cons – Very poor career development resources overall, especially for Ph.D. students seeking non-academic career tracks. Remote location makes travel for research or other purposes difficult.
