    I have been working at Citrix Systems full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Citrix has a great culture. We truly embody the work hard, play hard attitude. Promotions are tied to performance for the most part, although you do have to meet some baseline time-frames as well (typically you need to wait at least 18mo since your last promotion).

    Cons

    There is disconcerting trend where management is focusing more on the present performance and making decisions in a very reactive manner. In the past, we seemed to be a much more forward-thinking company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop being so reactive to minor fluctuations in the present. We need to make decisions based on long-term goals.

    Positive, but EMEA management sucking joy out of life and turning it into HP

    Pros

    Great product set and positive brand with customers.

    Cons

    Interaction with EMEA management typically very negative - little support provided, sense that people in the field actually selling things are less important than desk bound staff in Switzerland. Paid to be quarterly focused and opportunistic, hard to take time to develop sales in a longer term, strategic manner.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    We seem to be drifting from being 'one Citrix' into an HP style multi product company where no one co operates, this has to be fixed.
