I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Schedule flexibility. Depends on the nature of your job, however from my experience, I've been able to achieve a successful career and still be present for the afterschool and in-class activities, sicknesses and other situations where a typical "in-office" 8-5 job would not allow.

Cons

Tyring to achieve a job change within a different organization within the company can be challenging.

I worked at Cisco Systems full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits and work flexibility.

    Cons

If you care about what you produce in life, and have grand goals in participating in some of the great technology innovations of our time, this is not the place to be. The culture is sales driven; not technology driven. The business units are constantly competing with each other internally and it is difficult to get anything done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what Cisco does best: Re-org and buy companies that can innovate.
