I worked at Cisco Systems full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits, competitive salaries. Fairly easy to move around within the company. Many competent and caring people on board.

    Cons

Competing product lines and priorities. Way too many corporate initiatives to be effective. Work/life balance very difficult due to virtual global teams and complexity of stakeholders involved in almost any decision of consequence. Management increasingly disconnected from the technical community.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen more to technical thought leaders. Trim product lines and features...

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    Approves of CEO
