I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Great in giving people opportunity if they are willing and committed to work hard, enormous education opportunities (internal and external).

Cons

Question on executive promotions and the executive leadership team, would need a big change to get back to the attractive employer it once was. The biggest issue is the complete lack of internal knowledge management.

I worked at Cisco Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Easy pace
    International presence
Can work in different offices if you like to move around or travel overseas and have to work remotely.
    Career opportunities
Create severance packages for people who get laid off

    Cons

Hard to get promoted though there are many internal opportunities
    A little bureaucratic
Lots of senior folks. If you like young faces, this is probably not the company for you. Senior doesn't mean good engineering either. They can be slow to adapt to new technology.
    Doesn't pay well
