Current Employee – been working at Broadcom full-time for more than 10 years

Pros – Compensation generally competitive
Broadly leading edge technologies
High amounts of trust
Management team is visible and highly driven to succeed
Financial leadership has dramatically improved in the past 5 years

Cons – Difficult to transfer between business units or departments to develop skills
Insufficient focus on technical training
Educational reimbursement $ should be increased to encourage longer term development

Advice to Senior Management – Provide incentives to management team to encourage training and development / cross BU training / internal transfers. It won't happen by magic - people don't want to let go of good people.
Don't start going into markets without wanting to win them. This is not what Broadcom's about
