Enrollment Adviser Review

Enrollment Advisor (Former Employee)
San Diego, CA (US)

I worked at Bridgepoint Education full-time for more than a year

ProsThe job paid well, offered great training, and benefits

ConsHighly stressful environment. If you didn't enroll enough students you would be fired or receive pay cuts. They hired about 200 people ever couple of weeks and most of them couldn't make the cut. About 1/4 were fired for not being good enough. 1/4 were promoted to manager or transferred to another department. And about 1/2 left the position due to stress. Many employees were seeing counselors strictly for work related stress. Also get ready to work a lot!!!!!

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in your employees. Don't churn and burn

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros: Great team of people in the graduate division. Cons: They operate a classic boiler room. Nothing but high… Advice to Senior Management: Cut out all the layers of management. It's overkill. No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

Good employer. Great if you're in the right department.

Software Developer (Current Employee)
San Diego, CA (US)

I have been working at Bridgepoint Education full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Laid back environment and good people. The benefits packages… Cons: Professional, educated, and salaried employees are treated the same as those with only high school degrees. I believe that there should be benefits… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
