I have been working at Adobe

Pros

- very little stress
- great work life balance (out by 5pm, in after 9)
- great benefits
- most people are nice
- free food/soda
- If you are looking for decent pay, no stress, consistent work, hard to go wrong

Cons

- Absolutely no correlation between ability and position in the company
- Far more politics then other companies I have worked with
- Some of the least skilled people I have worked with
- Terrible infighting between groups
- No one is held accountable for anything
- MANY MANY layers of management for no reason
- If you want a position that pushes you, makes you better, will allow opportunity and growth, not the place for you

Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is obvious that we have a rudderless ship. I blame middle layers of management and complete delusion of people who have been in the company for many years for most of the problems.

I have been working at Adobe

    Pros

    - lots of time off and flex time, work at home
    - free drinks and snacks
    - sabbatical every 5 years
    - ESPP better than other companies

    Cons

Adobe has changed a lot, keep disappointing me and lying to me. Stopped paying quarterly profit sharing(that was a part of my income) and pay more to CEO, more and more off share, layoff US workers every year, politics and going more toward top-down. Coworkers only thinking about their job security. No passion to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees fairly. Good, hard working people were let go if they were not best friends of managers. Keep everyone in a loop. Place a right person to a right position.

    I worked at Adobe

    Pros

    Good work life balance
    Competitive pay packages
Great technical minds at work offering a healthy competitive environment

    Cons

Major distinction between QEs and developers for compensation & perks

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be equality for QEs & Developers
Pay package should be more employee friendly than tax friendly
