I have been working at Accenture

Pros

Good training opportunities
Sr. Executives are very supportive in general
Easy access to the global next work of Accenture
Opportunities to work for high visibility projects

Cons

Some mid-level managers are very demanding
Require extra curriculum to get high rating in annual review
Experience varies from different projects
A good manager makes a huge different to your project
Stack ranking process somewhat fair but not totally

Advice to ManagementAdvice

During stacking ranking, only the higher level can rate the lower level. The review process has room to enhance for fairness.

I have been working at Accenture

    Pros

Great work-life balance, smart, motivated co-workers, good corporate citizenship opportunities, great benefits

    Cons

    - Services and Consulting workforces have vastly different promotion rates. Consulting promotes on merit, Services promotes on tenure.
    - Services business model is terrible for career growth - one cannot be promoted within a project unless there is a business need for it within the project.
    - There is no "bench" in Services - leads people to have to make quick decisions on long term projects just to stay employed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the Services model for federal consulting work
