I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Decent pay for entry level
Decent benefits for entry level
Decent bonus stucture
Excellent learning potential

Cons

Compromised Work/Life balance
High stress project timelines
High employee turnover
Lack of motivated and qualified talent
Slow promotion ladder (unless you work a ton and kiss ass)
Weak salary increases year over year and inline with promotions
Poor career guidance
Dog eat dog atmosphere between on project resources

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of hiring to hit a certain number of resources, try hiring competent and talented resources. Level out the compensation scale across the United States (a first year analyst in Ohio makes about 35-40% less than an analyst in New York). Understand that the kiss ass mentality to get promoted and raises to be part of the "Good ole boy" network is sabotaging your firm.

I worked at Accenture full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very informal environment, and there are no such issues which come with hierarchy. Seniors are very friendly and approachable. The work culture is open to flexi timing which makes it very easy for women who are taking care of families.

    Cons

The 10 hour thing was a hindrance, which led to a lot of manipulation in the timesheets. Re-hire is not happening at all. I have been trying to return to Acc for the past one year, and have re-applied more than ten times. No reasons are also provided to me.

One more thing which I hear these days - New joinees when they hit the floor, when introduced to seniors of the team, they are asked what their Bands are, and not their name. This is a very bad practice and can lead a very degrading distinction among team members. This kinda culture MUST BE changed in the ALS CDC team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ex employees, who want to come back to Acc should be given a second chance for sure. If not in the same role, they should be guided to take up other roles in the organization.
