    Pros

As an intern, I worked with many different clients. The staff is creative with many diverse backgrounds. There are many great employee benefits, including mixers, happy hours, snacks around the office, and career training. There are a variety of opportunities to apply different skill sets here, so there is always new and interesting work to be done. Excellent experience in traditional and social media communications.

    Cons

The job is quite demanding and does not lend itself to a great work-life balance. Many folks burn out quickly. Also, the pay initially does not meet the expectations of the job. Lower-level employees must dig their heels in for several years before salary begins to match the job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue investing in your hires and do not burn them out!

    Pros

Smart people, extensive resources available, good variety of opportunities because of size of company, global network, hours didn't seem any worse than other PR agency

    Cons

Personality valued over work quality, departments don't work together as well as they might, can be very hard to get on the accounts you want to be on due to large size, culture is more competitive than supportive

Former Employee - Intern in Seattle, WA (US)

    Pros

    - Incredibly smart colleagues and some decent accounts
    - Decent intern salary compared to other agencies
    - Occasional free food
    - Amazing CEO and leadership team
    - Outstanding HR team goes above and beyond

    Cons

I give the discretion that your experience will vary depending on the team you work with and what office you are in. This is only my experience with my team as well as what I've observed with other interns:

    - First and foremost, the office talked a lot about being more creative and fostering a creative and innovative problem solving but you rarely saw it practiced. In fact, people were so bogged down in a systematic way of doing things that creativity was squandered altogether on the accounts I worked on / observed.
    - Teams treat interns as dispensable objects and rarely try to make you feel a part of the group
    - Supervisors don't help you get on projects you'd like to help out with
    - Supervisors and other mid-level employees could not care less about whether you are feeling fulfilled, overwhelmed, underwhelmed, etc. Any attempt to do so comes across as insincere or as if they are reading a script handed from HR
    - Little growth in the amount of responsibilities
    - Grunt work for days
    - Poor time management by some team members led to tight turnarounds and last minute projects that were easily avoidable

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The leadership talked so much about how rapidly the office was growing, and yet half of the interns are leaving for a lack of opportunity. Practice what you preach and look inwardly to fill entry-level positions. Other than that, management is pretty amazing here, save a few mid-level managers

    Pros

Good location, good benefits. Ok pay.

    Cons

They dont give lower level people a chance to work up. Snobby PR girls. Company should focus less on being fancy and get back to their roots, especially in honoring their employees/having their backs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
