    Pros

Most Junior and Mid-level staff are very friendly and easy to work with. The culture is relatively fun. Learned a lot on the job due to some great Mid-level managers who were willing to take the time to help teach/foster new skills.

    Cons

Expecting a positive work/life balance is completely frowned upon and will impact your opportunity for new work. Senior management is rude, unfriendly, backstabbing and incompetent for the most part. Raises are given based on tenure, even if the worker is incompetent. Raises for Junior staff are miniscule and almost an insult. Little room to move up unless you sell your life to the company.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on what you're doing to Junior and Mid-Level staff. They're burnt out and unappreciated. There should be more opportunity for upward movement based on performance.

    Pros

Everyone is friendly and easy to get a long with (minus a few senior people), people are given the chance to transfer to other offices, Richard Edelman always makes numerous appearance throughout the year which is nice.

    Cons

Massive blame culture, senior management can be very dishonest, they refuse to hire more people instead letting employees reach the point of hating their job and losing them to another agency, company wide expectations that are impossible to fulfil due to time and support and will not bat an eyelid at letting people go even when treated unfairly which I unfortunately saw numerous times. Low pay.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people, stop focussing on the surveys and making outside people believe you are the best company to work for and actually make your employees believe it.

    Can't really get overtime hours

    Pros

Edelman is a great company to work for. As an intern, I learned a lot and gained a ton of experience. Interns in smaller offices are able to really get their hands wet with multiple accounts and a large variety of projects. The company places a large emphasis on learning, which is very valuable for interns. I was able to continue developing my skills, while expanding my professional network and making long-lasting connections.

    Cons

As often seen at large agencies, interns, even if they are well-received, often face the harsh reality of working very hard in hopes of a full-time position but ultimately having to move on as the office has no current need for a new AAE.
