Great training ground in audit.

Senior Accountant (Former Employee)

I worked at EY full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGreat team and culture, plenty of high profile projects and opportunities to grow the CV.

ConsAn element of politics is always going to come with working in a large firm.

Friendly Staff

Tax Staff (Current Employee)

I have been working at EY full-time for less than a year

ProsLots of staff functions and lunch dates, competitive salary based on experience, opportunity for advancement with designation, ability to work on variety of files

ConsLong hours but that is more industry related than anything. Path to advancement in the firm is not clearly outlined for starting staff. Training is marginal at best.

Advice to Senior ManagementTransparency in the employee evaluation criteria needs to be improved

Just like every other firm, but worse

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at EY full-time for more than a year

ProsExposure to and opportunity to work with some big clients; looks great on resume; paid well.

ConsLike all firms - long hours expected, even just for "face time." Terrible people seem especially drawn to this place, who will throw you under the bus to make themselves look better. Lack teams with skills requested in market; still have no idea how long a project will actually take or the work involved.

Advice to Senior ManagementPeople are treated horribly here. Look into that.

Consthe people at the office was unlike other offices, everyone worked as a silo and had their own objectives and threw individuals under the bus.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to keep talented employees instead of having individuals leave and the ones that shouldn't stay gets to move on up.
