I have been working at EY full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Job security, good reputation in the accounting field, smart people in your age group and Company perks such as getting VIP access to sporting events if you are on right teams.

    Cons

Long hours, no predictability with your schedule, no work-life balance, and boring

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people and stop working people to death until they quit. More people suffer because their team members quit!

I have been working at EY full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They treat you very kindly. Shower you with gifts. My boss took me out to dinner. He tried to get fresh.

    Cons

Very picky about personal attire. Management wants you to dress very professionally each and every day. Ladies need to have skirts. Men need jacket and tie.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Loosen up lighten up, it's artsy. You need to put in a clothing allowance if you insist people dress in a specific way.

    Pros

The firm supports your professional development, the firm is structured and organized and highly professional, people are nice for the most part.

    Cons

Salaries are very low and salary increases are not in line with your performance reviews; almost impossible to negotiate a salary increase; you feel like you're just a number there and nobody cares if you stay or leave.

I have been working at EY full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Lots of opportunity for firm-sponsored activities outside of your normal job duties, including community service events
    - If you're not client-serving, work life balance is good
    - Everyone I've met is super nice :)

    Cons

    - If you're not client-serving, career advancement seems more nebulous
    - Technology (including basically everything on / about our laptops...) at the firm could use some improvement...

I have been working at EY full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A very young consulting practice which allows for a lot of growth opportunities. The senior leadership also encourages all employees to participate and share ideas.

    Cons

If you don't like travel, then EY is not for you. Traveling employees do not have an office, but utilize hotel offices. This can sometimes be challenging for getting to know people in the office.
