Current Employee – been working at Dick's Sporting Goods full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – The entire store changes with the seasons so you always stay busy. Great co-workers who keep the job fun. Great advancement opportunities with a rapidly expanding company.
Cons – Are just starting to develop their own identity rather than borrowing ideas from other corporations. This can lead to some growing pains.

Advice to Senior Management – continue hiring hard working people and ask employees what they would like to see changed instead of having corporate make changes without understanding what happens from day to day

Advice to Senior Management – Ensure that all store managers and above attend the training to be on the same page

Former Employee – worked at Dick's Sporting Goods part-time for less than a year
Pros – Lots of exercise from constantly walking and lifting materials. And you will be cross-trained in a lot of different areas the longer you stay.
Cons – Only minimum wage for having to micro manage 6 different areas of the store. Not much relief if you work in the Team Sports department and Bikes and Exercise.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire in people that actually know about sports
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
