    Pros

The people, the network and the many chances you have to get a great career

    Cons

The salary is too low and not competitive compared to other banks

    Advice to Management

They should try to improve the performance management, their bonus system and they should be more careful about what people are motivated from

    Pros

People there especially in the technology department are really friendly. I always like working with kind and nerdy techies.

    Cons

Probably not the most profitable bank?Would that be a problem to someone? I regard this as an advantage actually lol

    Advice to Management

The working environment is not challenging enough? Again, this is not a problem for many employers. It's about the profitability of the company.

    Pros

Great people to work with ( in most cases)
Some flexible work schedules with a work from option.

    Cons

Restructuring put a lot of staff in roles they did not want and were not good fits for the new roles
I had 3 different bosses in 2 years
No clear direction or leadership of what was expected. Groups were operating by the seat of their pants.

    Advice to Management

The Senior management had a clear vision but that did not necessarily transmit / communicated to the entire organization

  7. Growing pains

    Pros

Good health insurance and one of the best pension benefits 15% of your salary once you're over 30 or reach Associate level. Growing presence in Ireland

    Cons

Lack of technical skills, management keen to take on work from overseas offices without the prerequisite technical knowledge of the work necessary to maintain levels of service for clients (service centre mentality focused on keeping costs low, growth based on outsourcing from abroad). The office needs to develop clear employee development and progression paths in order to retain talent. Salaries at the lower end of the industry

    Advice to Management

Middle management need to develop their own technical knowledge of the functions they take on from overseas in order to manage effectively.

    I worked at Deutsche Bank

    Pros

As with European companies, there are more vacation days than US companies

    Cons

Can barely take any vacation days

    Advice to Management

Too much "posturing" required. Tone down the advertising on how much your department is adding to the bottom line. Care for the employees more

    Pros

Best company I've found so far. Excellent benefits and they treat you well, work hard and you are rewarded

    Cons

Expect some long hours during busy periods

    Advice to Management

Organisational systems could link better, computer fed information from one system to another would work better then some of the slower manual feeds
