Current Employee - Team Leader in Berlin (Germany)

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Berlin is a lively alternative city. Work life balance is quite good

    Cons

DB Risk Centre is sold as a unique division of DB with great talents. However the level of workers is very uneven and it is not uncommon to see managers with no experience at all either managing or in banking. Turnover is incredibly high, around 1 year, which means: you go, realise it is not for you within one month and start looking somewhere else.
Many people from Italy, Spain, Greece think they are offered a good salary compared to their countries, but the truth is that it is dramatically below the average for Germany. There were legal actions against DB Risk Centre for contracting people with salaries below legal minima.
It is a compromise between Frankfurt and Mumbai: donkey work slightly cheaper than in the headquarter.

Former Employee - IMAC Operations Manager in New York, NY (US)

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of people to meet with great opportunity to grow. Visited many offices in the US and all the workers are very friendly and helpful.

    Cons

So many managements and changes that the support team have a hard time following. Recently assigned team leads are a joke. Instead of mentoring and provide supporting for their team member, they are nothing but manager's puppies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recent deskside outsourced management does not not have a clue how to run the business. Please bring back the old management team.

    Pros

the bank has excellent product platform in Brazil with good funding and smart co workers. compensation is adherent to market. the bank has a strong client base.

    Cons

Brazil is not one of the main hubs of the bank so certain businesses might not get the attention one would wish it got. also, the bank is fast to change its strategy and adjust to the market which is a negative aspect for clients looking for relationship banks.
