I have been working at Deutsche Bank CIB full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Work life balance, office culture are all good. People are good. Lot of learining opportunities involved.

    Cons

Salary hike should be based on performance appraisal, also incentives should be given based on how critical client is the employee handling.

More transparency should be brought in to judge all these factors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Should not be more objective.

Former Employee - FI Sales in London, England (UK)

I worked at Deutsche Bank CIB

    Pros

    Quality and intelligence of people
Expertise in wide range of products make it easier to pitch clients
Global reach to be able to answer any question
    Powerful brand name

    Cons

Highly competitive. Company culture is to let people step on others' mandates in order to see who can do best. Of course you are not made aware that someone is trying to do your own job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More respect to employees and clients would benefit. The competitive culture exhausts staff, and in the end those who are able to climb to the top, however smart and outstanding, are those who do not care about the wider ecosystem.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Deutsche Bank CIB full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Very smart people to work with, interesting projects (at least if you're an engineer) and a nice office space. It's a great place if you're a junior engineer and want to start you career. You'll learn all the essentials that help you to deliver large-scale and complex IT solutions. Very cool (local) senior management.

    Cons

No career opportunities for senior engineers. You either become a manager or have look for opportunities outside of the company. Definitely too much bureaucracy and a lot of cost-cutting and travel freezes over the last years.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Deutsche Bank CIB

    Pros

It is an awesome place to work. There is a lot of diversity in terms of the kind of roles you can practice.

    Cons

There are not too many drawbacks that are there. Work-life balance would vary depending on the role and geography you are working for.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank CIB full-time

    Pros

Good salary, that is why people stay

    Cons

    Too political
People that talk too much and concentrate attention and everyone's time in meetings normally get the best roles
    Lack of gender diversity
Senior management tend to favour staff that they have an affinity for,
Cultural change looks elegant in the policy documents, however most senior management are still bullies and don't actually do what they preach

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should be more objective and assess staff talents and potential objectively, as opposed to give opportunities just based on likeness
Culture change should be seriously adopted by senior management and lead by example

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
