    Pros

I love the fact that they actually care about their employees and their personal growth..

    Cons

I worked at Dart Container full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is ok and promotions are available for those willing to wait on their supervisors' hands and feet as they sleep in their comfy office.

    Cons

    Tolerated Racism.
    No teamwork.
When all else fails blame or fire QC "responsible" for defective product.
Seen many instances where the company has fired employees weeks before retirement.
    Shady history and no management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the safety motto "nothing we do is worth getting hurt". Very few supervisors seem to agree.

  5.

Great place to work. A little difficult to move up once you hit mid-level. If you get in at the bottom you can work you way up to mid-level easily.

    Pros

Good benefits. Great people. Routine work week, you can count on 40 hours.

    Cons

Pay is below average, but getting better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its better to retain employees (and cheaper) than to bring in and train new people.

I have been working at Dart Container full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It's a job. That's it. If another company would offer me 5 dollars less an hour, I'd take it! There are no jobs in the area right now, that's the only reason I stay.

    Cons

Low morale, poor attitudes, favortism, poor leadership (starting from upper management & working downwards). Important things are by-passed (i.e. machine repairs, staffing) so the focus can be on the ridiculous ( repetitive, non-ending, useless paperwork). This isn't a nuclear bomb making factory, but cups, plates & straws. Yet there are more forms to fill out every day. Useless maintenance. Everything is band-aided instead of repaired. Some machines down for weeks on end & when they're started back up, nothing has been repaired or checked. Upper management could care less about the safety of the employees. " Do as I say, not as I do" work environment. A truly awful place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Eliminate all upper management, start over!

I worked at Dart Container full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Always hiring so its pretty easy to get on. They also do lots a rehires but if your looking for a steady job its not bad.

    Cons

Always hiring can be a bad thing as well because its hard to gain consistency in the position and management expect the same high levels of output regardless.
