Former Employee – worked at Convergys full-time
Pros – Good company to work for and get experience working in a call-center environment. Solid training and great for a first time role in a call-center.
Cons – Building was a bit dated and drafty. Limited opportunities locally. Business focus moving to other locations.

Former Employee – worked at Convergys full-time for less than a year
Pros – Pay, Shift and holiday bonuses, training, peers,
Cons – Software and systems are too slow, you need to come in 10-15 minutes earlier so you can start on time
Calls keep coming in so no time to breathe;
Constant criticism on your calls when being evaluated;
If you're having a bad day things just get messy;
Hours are bad, if you're just starting out
If you're a university grad you can go do better than this!
Advice to Senior Management – Some of the managers are just too good and some are just the opposite

Former Employee – worked at Convergys full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Everyone acts as being in a good mood whether they are or aren't. The company does sometimes upgrade computers and replace chairs which is good for the employee's.
They also give a lot of training to help reps be knowledgeable
Clean environment
Good benefits package after 3 months
Cons – Poor Management
Even when claiming they are implementing coaching to point out good things, they never do it and if you are ever called up, you know you are in trouble because its always for criticism, or to be written up for something.
Bonuses are getting smaller and smaller, and harder and harder to earn.
Advice to Senior Management – The biggest thing is simply,, make a little time to give positive coaching rather than constant criticism, it kills morale and enthusiasm.

Former Employee – worked at Convergys full-time for more than a year
Pros – 1. I always was paid.
2. There were some nice co-workers.
Cons – 1. So many levels of management, all of whom were clueless.
2. You are not treated as a human being for the most part.
3. Supervisors knew less about the job than the phone agents.
4. Silly, childish "team-building" just wasted time.
5. Too many more to list.
Advice to Senior Management – Phone agents are not only your workers, but also your product. Don't treat them like slaves or kindergarten kids.
