Current Employee – been working at ConAgra Foods full-time for less than a year
Pros – The IT department is rife with opportunities to grow and learn new processes and systems. People are helpful and accepting. Teamwork is great, and it never feels like you're being judged.
Cons – I have no cons to mention. The teams here have been incredible and I have not noticed anything out of the ordinary or strange that left a sour taste in my mouth.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work. It is wonderful

Current Employee – been working at ConAgra Foods full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Career opportunities: rotations and training in new areas encouraged but not required if you prefer your area.
Pay/Benefits: The compensation and benefits are good for the area
Flexible work environment: The IT department allows telecommuting one day a week, and has hotel cubes instead of assigned desks so you can move where you sit according to who you are working with. Flexible hours are available to work around things like day care, as long as you work during "core times" you can come into work at 6am or 9am.
Cons – The IT department has been known for having too many irons in the fire. There are plans in place to improve workloads, and it is getting better, but it's still a work in progress.

Pros – Large Budgets, best-in-class technologies, and high-performance DC 2.0 compute platform. Competitive pay.
Cons – Top-heavy corporate structure, understaffed, overworked, hostile and political work environment. Poor performance rating platform. The business side controls every aspect of IT.

Current Employee – been working at ConAgra Foods full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great work life balance and striving to become a best place to work.
Cons – A lot of restructuring and changing of management. The work life balance largely depends upon your manager. Not all managers share the company's views on work life balance.

Current Employee – been working at ConAgra Foods full-time for more than a year
Pros – Worked two years at plant that was shutdown in 2011. Company did superlative job of providing support, training, job hunting support, and severance pay, starting a year in advance of shutdown, for all employees.
It was understood that Conagra wanted to do right by everyone, and did.
Cons – Supervisory work days were initially scheduled 12 hours a day: in a 24 hour environment, but were usually 14+ hours, due to meetings before and after.
Advice to Senior Management – Way too much management turnover at all levels. Half of positions are held long-term, but others turnover frequently, particularly among floor supervisors.
Ability to move within the company is good, and should continue.

Former Employee – worked at ConAgra Foods as an intern for more than a year
Pros – - Friendly place to work
- Good first job to learn about production systems
- Technology was easy to learn about
Cons – - ConAgra utilized a cross-department rotation program for the interns. This could be unhelpful towards career development if placed on a group that didn't require or couldn't utilize interns.
Advice to Senior Management – Allow interns (and full-time employees) to chose from a available list where to rotate to.

Current Employee – been working at ConAgra Foods full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great chances for advancement though my plant and the company as a whole. Great employees to work with and everybody uses a team attitude.
Cons – Management show question leadership as far as ownership of things and holding people accountable of their jobs. Management needs to step up and do the job they are paid for rather than pass the buck.
Advice to Senior Management – From the Plant Manager needs to HOLD his productions Managers accountable to make any changes.
