Pros – I would say that there are many good things about working here:
Great benefits
Good employee compensation (even with only a mediocre review)
If you are ambitious and willing to work for what you want you usually can get it (within reason)
Good evironment to grow and cultivate your career
Ability to work overseas and move around if you're disatisfied with your position
Opportunities to grow yourself as a person and not just as an employee

Cons – Somestimes stuffy and conservative, but getting better (more transparency)
Middle managers seem to be chosen based on advanced degrees and succession planning instead of actual managerial qualifications; I think this has to do with promoting people who've earned it, but by being limited to the promotion scale within the company. In order to get to a certain level, generally you must have people to manage, but not everyone can be a manager, so there are challenges there.
HR is sometimes kind of a joke; they are not really well versed in the company policies for the benefit programs or leave programs...

Advice to Senior Management – Revising the promotion structure would be a good start. Being careful about promoting employees with advanced degrees when it appears that that is the reason for promotion. Working harder to reach young employees and jaded employees with the realties of being a large corperation.

Pros – 1) Good Pay 2) A very caring environment up to 2 years ago 3) Many career opportunities 4) Challenging Work

Cons – 1) Outsourcing functions overseas to India for substandard work 2) Reduction of NVOs to all time low-more work, less people. 3) Too focused on margin

Advice to Senior Management – You became successful because of the people that worked hard for you that you are now outsourcing.

Pros – Company culture of team work is fantastic. System oriented processes allows for steady business while allowing experimentation on pushing the boundaries.

Cons – Decision making by consensus sometimes means some opportunities are missed. Takes some time to learn the systems to become truly effective.

Advice to Senior Management – Accelerate decision making and decentralise innovation.

Pros – They have great cafeteria in their facility. The people are very friendly and helpful. The area is a nice place to live in. They have a very nice work/life balance and have health days throughout the year. Also, have a store on site where you can buy discounted CP products

Cons – I do not have any complaints about working there. Absolute great place to work and live. Saw a couple turkeys in the parking lot once though, kinda concerning.

Advice to Senior Management – I have no advice. Business is doing well and everyone seemed qualified and competent.

Pros – Excellent benefits and pension program. Medical after retirement. Good succession planning in company. Family-oriented environment, many loyal employees (except maybe in Marketing function). Finally have work/life balance program. Caring company. Merits and bonus still implemented so far. Open-minded and GBLT friendly.

Cons – Old fashioned. Cutting corners now in the wrong places. Only focus on high potentials and not so much the strong base and foundation of loyal employees lower on the totem pole, so few growth opportunities for them. Pay not necc competitive.

Advice to Senior Management – Show that you care more about the employees that keep the company well supported and running - they are loyal, but are often passed over for early level/mgt opportunities that now seem reserved only for hi-potentials/expats. Be less old-fashioned and trust your employees more.

Pros – Friendly, understanding atmosphere with down-to-earth coworkers! It was an excellent experience in the corporate world. Longevity possible, loyalty is very well rewarded. Wellness programs implemented company-wide.

Cons – Well-managed, but the politics of a large company tend to leave employees who go the extra mile to be slightly under-appreciated.
