    Pros

They provide a standard benefits package, more or less. They offer matching contributions (to an extent) on retirement. They have a corporate rewards package which is probably similar to most other companies. That's about all the good I can say for this company.

    Cons

This company places you at a firm and basically forgets all about you. Very low salaries. No appreciation for hard work or excellence. If they place you in a higher-level position, with more job responsibility and higher prominence/importance, they still refuse to even consider a salary adjustment. This company bills more than twice what they are paying me. To even be considered for advancement, you have to comply with their incomprehensible "Cognizant Career Architecture" program; every single coworker I know has struggled just to figure out what they are supposed to do. For some reason, my own CCA requires two outside certifications, which I'd have to pay for out of pocket (and be reimbursed), and which I don't have time for due to my overloaded work schedule.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management, if you are going to require external training and certification, you need to provide the time off from the regular client to take it. And you need to pay for it.

    Pros

Company secures good accounts that have growth opportunity.

    Cons

Delivery through the offshore model is hit and miss, largely dependent on the quality of their onsite consultants and the maturity level of the offshore team.

    Pros

Company has some varied international clients across geographies and freshers can get good international exposure. One can learn provided if he is in good project else it is more of doing mundane and useless things. You can do lots of training and can always look forward to move from one project to another team. If you have a distinguished career I wont recommend any one to join.

    Cons

Though they paint it to be an international company, but their procedures and overall working style is typical Indian body shop company and you would feel that there is no professionalism in any approach. So if you can manage to work in such environment this company would be heaven for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get over it, life is not only about billing to the clients
