I have been working at Capgemini full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Work - life balance is a perk thanks to the limited amount of travel required.
Benefits package covers RMT and Physio in the amount of $500 per annum.
Pay scale is on the higher side of industry standards. This may be driven mainly by the nature of the client accounts pursued, who on their turn compensate employees at top of the market.

    Cons

Training is limited to the bare minimum of mandatory compliance with labor and privacy laws.
The benefits package is quite basic covering 80% of select vision and dental needs.
No system is perfect and performance management incentive system is definitely flawed. Annual zero-sum rating mechanism distributes the incentive bucket in a round table (or phone call) exercise, where the stronger executive gets to reward his/her direct reports with the highest rating, thus the highest incentive percentage.

I have been working at Capgemini

    Pros

A lot of opportunities for networking.
You will look/work in the kitchen of different companies.
    Pleasant atmosphere.

    Cons

Internal systems are not of a quality you would expect. Often very outdated, not supporting many platforms. You have to push people to get them to work for you (career advancement).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actively help employees to further their career. Not only by putting a website up.
Update internal systems (not everyone is on IE).

I have been working at Capgemini

    Pros

Excellent pay and benefits. Great location and office is a nice place to work. Good cafeteria on site. Great co-workers!

    Cons

Company is on contract, so future work is dependent upon winning contract renewals. Management doesn't always seem aware of what client wants in order to ensure contract renewals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to engage better with employees and client. Client seems happy with work being done, but not always happy with management.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It is a good place to start; however, Toronto center wasn't the best place to grow.

    Cons

Although the pay is competitive, the work environment is to process centric, there is no place for innovation or personal development. I quickly found that the lack of challenges and opportunities were forcing me to find different challenges outside the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More engagement from all levels of management.

    Pros

Lots of good things to put on your resume, plenty of challenges

    Cons

Clients abusive and have unreasonable expectations. Isn't this typical though for consulting? Oh, and watch out for nightmare engagements. Half of them are that way it seems?
