average experience. lots of older, mature folk, so the culture is very mature.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Campbell Soup full-time

Prosmajority of team members are supportive

ConsMajority of the individuals are well into their career, so not ideal for a new graduate (better off in a rotational or new grad position)

Advice to Senior ManagementUnderstand that new graduates are fairly new to the business environment, so patience is imperative to have!

The community at Campbell Soup really did make you feel a part of the family and the workers were happy.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Etobicoke, ON

I worked at Campbell Soup

Pros- good sense of community (very family like)
- took feedback very well on all levels of the organizations
- worked as a team and actively collaborated to solve issues

Cons- manufacturing environment
- not that many opportunities to move around (keep in mind that this manufacturing though)
- need to understand machinery a bit (depends on role)

Advice to Senior Management- the management/leadership at campbell's soup at the etobicoke plant is excellent, everyone listens to each other and work together

Let down

General Labour (Former Employee)

I worked at Campbell Soup

Prosgood wages compared to other fatory jobs
fellow employees were great to work with
Benefits are very good for health and dental
room for movement in the company because of internal hiring

Consworked 2 years as a temp before getting hired
Lousy communication between management and employees
Saftey standards are horrible, I was injured on some improperly enginerred equipment, put on disbility, and was brushed away when trying to come back to work. Felt severely betrayed, to give years of my life working there, only to be treated like garbage after injury. They treat you like another number, not like a valued employee. Dont be fooled, bad company to work for.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe leadership at campells although may be sound at the top, I found it got worse as you trickle down to lower levels of management. I believe their business strategies were good, but if you treat you employess, the blood of your company, this will come back to haunt you. I honetly felt at times like i was working in a 3rd world country, not the free nation i live in.

Family-based company with a many good qualities.

Intern (Former Employee)
Camden, NJ (US)

I worked at Campbell Soup as an intern for less than a year

ProsBenefits are usually very good, they allow for an open environment to work and discuss with your coworkers and the culture is generally very friendly. Also, there is quite a bit a diversity in age groups and gender.

ConsThere is not much racial diversity among the employees and sometimes the upper management is too personal. Although you will enjoy how personal they are, sometimes they call for meetings that could have easily been conducted over the phone or through email, making work less efficient.

Advice to Senior ManagementFind more efficient ways to communicate needs to other employees.

Good company to work for because people there are hard workers

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Campbell Soup as a contractor

ProsPeople in the organization are dedicated to their roles and accomplishing their assignments. As a contractor, I saw a level of dedication unprecedented elsewhere. Great work-life balance program as work from home and taking care of self is encouraged. Supportive during times of personal need.

ConsAs the company makes adjustments to meet changing business landscapes it has meant more work with fewer resources.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider modifying work load to match resource availability to reduce risk of burn out and stress.
