I worked at Campbell Soup full-time

    Pros

majority of team members are supportive

    Cons

Majority of the individuals are well into their career, so not ideal for a new graduate (better off in a rotational or new grad position)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that new graduates are fairly new to the business environment, so patience is imperative to have!

    I worked at Campbell Soup

    Pros

good wages compared to other fatory jobs
fellow employees were great to work with
Benefits are very good for health and dental
room for movement in the company because of internal hiring

    Cons

worked 2 years as a temp before getting hired
Lousy communication between management and employees
Saftey standards are horrible, I was injured on some improperly enginerred equipment, put on disbility, and was brushed away when trying to come back to work. Felt severely betrayed, to give years of my life working there, only to be treated like garbage after injury. They treat you like another number, not like a valued employee. Dont be fooled, bad company to work for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The leadership at campells although may be sound at the top, I found it got worse as you trickle down to lower levels of management. I believe their business strategies were good, but if you treat you employess, the blood of your company, this will come back to haunt you. I honetly felt at times like i was working in a 3rd world country, not the free nation i live in.

I have been working at Campbell Soup full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Great pay
    - Good benefits
    - Nice headquarters
    - Family oriented w/ the work life balance that comes along with it
    - Strong corporate culture w/ emphasis on relationships

    Cons

While this is a great place to work, we do play in many mature but declining categories. It can get discouraging to see red numbers on a page when you know you are working your butt off.

Also this is very much an old boys' network. America is changing, folks. Hire people who represent the diverse landscape of our country & give them to the support they need to move up through the ranks. Promote based on performance!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

DIVERSIFY! People aren't buying soup like they used to. I know we're trying with innovation but let's accelerate our acquisition rate and get into some spaces that are on-trend w/ long term viability!

I worked at Campbell Soup full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great benefits (health, dental, matching 401K 100% up to 4%), friendly working environment, work/life balance, training, and commitment to community service. Management supports career growth and development. Free soup Fridays and random free food can be found frequently. Discounted Godiva chocolates, Pepperidge Farm cookies, and other products at the company store. Building had been in process of updating and creating new modern office areas.

    Cons

Systems and tools to do job are lacking/unreliable. Company seems to reorganize like every 2 years, which often accompanies layoffs. I've seen many people who have worked there more than 20 years get laid off from reorganizations. Upper management constantly making changes that create a lot of grind.
