    Pros

if you need a 8 to 5 job and not stimulate your brain this is a perfect company to work for.

    Cons

You can sit tight and watch the spineless executives take no risk

I have been working at CSG Systems International full-time

    Pros

Work schedule is pretty flexible. Pay is pretty good. Seems like most lower management is down to earth and good to work for.

    Cons

Leadership communicates with employees like they are marketing to their clients. Middle management stuck in perpetual bureaucracies where progress is measured in millimeters. Company is consumed by endless paperwork. Every new project is a priority with not enough manpower to keep up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CSG used to be a place people raved about working at, no longer. Stop investing in resiliency after resiliency plan and try looking to your employees for solutions. Morale is at an all time low, time to act.

I have been working at CSG Systems International full-time

    Pros

Pretty flexible work schedule. Casual dress code. Super nice people. Decent pay. Broad use of technology provides many job opportunities.

    Cons

Not the company it used to be. Seems to be confused on if it wants to go wide or go deep. Chicago influence has changed the once-wonderful Omaha / Denver culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too many major changes all at once. No one feels setup to succeed.

    Pros

CSG is a great place to work, the work is challenging and the coworkers are great. The benefits are good and the managers treat you with respect. The culture and values of the company are great, it feels like a family and you are treated like one.

    Cons

I can't think of any cons currently. The clients are demanding as should be expected.

I worked at CSG Systems International full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Very good source control and build management.
Most people are great to work with.
Usually up to date with latest software.
    Causal dress code.
Flexible hours accommodate people whose children have early morning school activities.

Thanks to some good management choices, software development practices visibly improved over what they used to be in 2008.

    Cons

Frequent layoffs in the past 5 years.
    Several multi-million dollar project failures.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I watched members of another development team quit one after another after another due to one specific toxic individual. How did management allow this to happen?

    Pros

Great benefits and ok pay for area.

    Cons

If your not part of the 'in' crowd, then your labeled and pushed out. Promoting is not easy unless you want hard hours. HR will not get back to you after your leave the company, even after multiple calls and emails.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should take stock in your employees and not see them as a cash cow.

    Pros

Some of the people are wonderful but it depends on what department you work in.
    Easy commute.
    OK Pay.

    Cons

Old boys club feel. They allow lazy people to stay on. No ambition to move in to the future. Pretty outdated technically considering they are a software company. Lots of management act inappropriately. Tons of favoritism by management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Clear out and start over.

I have been working at CSG Systems International as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

CSG assembled a very strong team to assist with providing the training for an Oracle 12.1 upgrade. Good project management and good people to work with.

    Cons

The project was daunting and the task to train over 8500 employees on all of the new processes was difficult. Most of the SME's involved were very pro-active but several were difficult to work with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Convince the SME's to be more available to the training team.
