    Pros

CIT is a great a place to work ... the management is really supportive for wanting to learn more, supportive of ideas to make things better and overall great place to be.

    Cons

CIT deals with a lot of boring content, contracts, processing contract and the such, a lot of the roles in Burlington at least are very mundane, nothing too exciting. and the air in the building is so dry it feels like its sucking the life out of you.

    Advice to Management

make it more interesting to work there

    Pros

Manager cared about my development and offered many opportunities to apply myself. Great pay and room for independence. My fellow employees are amazing.

    Cons

No growth or career development . People at the Director level and some life-time VP's never leave which further compounds the problem

    Advice to Management

Set up a career path for associates and give more training to employee to increase effectiveness.

    Pros

Collegiate and collaborative atmosphere...at CIT, even when in a control or risk function people are polite and ready to work toward solutions. It is a refreshing and energizing place to work. Work-life balance is also excellent.

    Cons

As it continues its transition from finance company to bank, there are some adjustment pains. The different functions don't always know their boundaries, and new policies and procedures need some weathering.

    Advice to Management

Keep up good work toward bank organization and controls, but don't forget our origins in middle market and equipment financing.

    Pros

Manager cared about my development and offered many opportunities to apply myself. Great pay and room for independence.

    Cons

Few birthing pains as the company was still growing, so one had a few delays here and there as posts/systems were being filled/developed. Felt like a bit of a startup as the company is transforming itself.

    Advice to Management

Stay on the current path as change is essential and refreshing.
