I worked at CIT full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

CIT is a great a place to work ... the management is really supportive for wanting to learn more, supportive of ideas to make things better and overall great place to be.

    Cons

CIT deals with a lot of boring content, contracts, processing contract and the such, a lot of the roles in Burlington at least are very mundane, nothing too exciting. and the air in the building is so dry it feels like its sucking the life out of you.

    Pros

Motivated individuals who care about each other. They are trying to get the old-school mentality out and adapt with changing ideas. With new merger with OneWest, CIT has good outlook.

Competitive pay with industry. Actually slightly better than industry.

When I was able to ask CEO John Thain about what type of qualities he would look for in someone he was hiring he replied by saying people who are motivated, smart, and most importantly people who you can get along with. If you

I have been working at CIT

    Pros

Good work life balance. Hours are reasonable.

    Cons

The company is trying to move all it's jobs to JAX Florida. So if you are working in NY or NJ chances are they will not promote you or provide you opportunity for job growth as every new position is moving down to Florida where it is cheaper.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees see what is happening and are moving to cruise control waiting for their packages
