A bad place for admin staff

    Administrative Assistant (Current Employee)

ProsFood in the kitchen, health and dental benefits, multicultural environment

    ConsNo opportunity to grow
Micromanagement: you can't do anything without asking the permission of management (even going to the bathroom), initiatives are unwelcome, avoid going beyond your role
Admin staff considered as stupid: managers openly despite their work and competences
    Low pay, very low pay
Bonus based on criterion that have nothing to do with your performances

Advice to Senior ManagementRemember that admins are also respectable people

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsEquality, professionalism, opportunity for growth

ConsNeed to be highly independant and efficient, demanding due to quality standards

    Brilliant people, genuine environment

Project Leader (Current Employee) Toronto, ON

ProsThe work is very interesting, working right with C-suite more often than not
People genuinely care about your experience and work-life balance

ConsThe hours can be long, but no different than you would expect in the industry. At the very least it is recognized when you are working long hours.

    Great place to learn

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Toronto, ON

ProsExcellent exposure to smart people, great companies and interesting client work. Good training and development. Global network and excellent brand name to have on your resume. Generally nice people who mean well. Fascinating collection of individuals, with quite a bit of diversity for a top firm.

ConsWhile the people are nice, the bar is high and it is still an up or out system, although the firm will help you along as much as it can.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to appeal more to the hearts, and not just the minds of employees. Leaders are often great problem-solves but not the best leaders of people.
