I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

BOA is well known and employs good people at all levels. Company benefits are good and well spread. BOA is leading financial services provider in use of technology.

    Cons

At professional and management levels you work long hours. Personal growth opportunities are spotty. The mortgage mess has cast a shadow over the entire organization. Management at certain levels and times lacks transparency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rebuild corporate trust and integrity within in addition to the outside stakeholders.

    Pros

They care about there employees and have flexible schedules if your a single parent it is understandable that there are times you need to be able to take time or need flexible schedules and you can get that a Bank Of America. AS well as there benefits package which is truly awesome It fully covers you and there is even flexibility with that.

    Cons

Long hours But you get paid for every minute. Goals orientated but you she the profits in your paycheck. Parking is a travesty though you have to get there early enough to get a parking spot and not have to walk from the garage as on hot or rainy days it is awefull

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

great benefits!!! You somewhat have options of schedules you can choose from.

    Cons

Its a call center, enough said right? You said at a desk all day taking call after call. You have to watch the number of calls you take, sale on every call you take, make sure your doing everything right because compliance is listening to your phone calls, your rated from customers who will pick 1-5 if you are not given a 5 its pretty much a fail for you which is VERY BAD! This is every month. So you dont meet the requirements 3 months in a row your out. No joke Your fired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You say you listen but you don't.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask your associates about their career goals and help them develop the plan for future careers at the company. My manager didn't care about my future career goals therefore I left Bank of America after graduating from college.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good hourly pay( $14.13). Great benefits( Aetna) and vacation package (10 sick days and 3 weeks vacay)

    Cons

They paint this pretty picture for you on how to make soooo much money in commission and it's absolutely false. You're pretty much tricking people all day to do balance transfer and direct deposits. These people are calling in to pay their bill or service their account and your whole motive is to pressure them into borrowing money of their card. You sit in this special Que. and are forced to make money off them. If you don't make your numbers you won't last. Run as fast as you can. The turnover rate is high! They have a training class every month. This should tell you something

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Great benefits. Honestly, I love the atmosphere. Everyone wants to do what's best for the customers. Bonuses are better now, focused on rewarding top performers.

    Cons

The base salary is too low. However, it is comparable to other banks.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They have a wonderful benefits package. Wonderful to work with customers but most managers need work.

    Cons

The sales goals are unrealistic and create an atmosphere of product pushing. Many of the managers believe that micro management is the only management style available. Very stressful when traffic into the branch is slow. Furthermore they never have enough staff to properly achieve their customer service goals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people and create an open communication policy that prohibits bullying from managers.
