    Pros

Good work, life balance. You will be treated fairly. Very diverse group of people. They have a very good training program with many additional courses online.

    Cons

Very large company so there were no adult or kids Christmas parties so a little disappointing.

    Pros

Great pay, good benefits, fairly easy work

    Cons

Lack of management from upper management, treated like criminals throughout the layoff process, not very rewarding

    Advice to Management

Show more courtesy when laying employees off, not very respectful how the process is currently done. People don't enjoy being treated as criminals

    Pros

Gloried history, advanced technologies and renovations among the oil and gas service business, multiple culture environment.

    Cons

The corporate structure is too complex and mingled to compete with specialized companies. Lose direction among the profit chasing.

    Advice to Management

Streamline the product lines and build a knowledge based platform, focus on the technology, service, people and then profit.

    Pros

I got to work with very friendly staff, also the pay scale here is good comparing with other oil service companies.S

    Cons

In my short work period I can't judge the company so far.

    Advice to Management

    Good Salary and benefits package

    Pros

    Good company from my experience.
    Fair pay, usually.
Creates a good environment workwise, training, safety, culture. It’s a company where people like to work for many years.

    Cons

Like anywhere else - some not very qualified workers and managers.
And like any corporation, not much long term thinking – at higher level management just next year bonus matters.

    Advice to Management

What's the point of this section? They won't care about any comment, anyway.

    Pros

Good pay, great co -workers, top notch equipment. Not much more to praise about a company that pretends they care about u then throw u out like garbage...

    Cons

Long hours, communication is sub par. My yearly review was rated as excellent, 2 weeks later was laid off without any notice at all. I'm not predugis to foreigners working there but it was very obvious that the white man were the targets in these layoffs!!!

    Advice to Management

Should actually keep ur good employees and get rid of the lazy ones . And maybe next time u do a round of layoffs don't make it so obvious that ur favouring the immigrants before the white man.. But it's all in protecting ur fellow countrymen I guess...

    Pros

No different than SLB and HAL. Big companies ruining our industry and driving wages down.

    UNION IS NEEDED

    Cons

No values, no work life balance and the pay sucks. Company forces employees to sign non-disclosure agreement which allows baker Hughes to fire employees without notice and for any reason deemed. The pay does not match the cost of living most companies pay 3x more than there.

    Advice to Management

You have become a company with out integrity who's focus is only on the companies profit. Baker Hughes does not deserve to be in Canada. I will go out of my way to turn people away from your company. Pay fare wages or suffer having a Union.

    Pros

Teamwork, lots of good colleagues, growth in most markets, opportunities for advancement

    Cons

Too many hours, lots of old white men, not many women, some areas are sexist, lots of change for change's sake

    Advice to Management

Start promoting work life balance and not encouraging people to work crazy hours. Hire more people
