Current Employee – been working at Apple
Pros – They really do seem to hire the absolute best people you can find. Everyone is genuinly nice, and very talented in their own way. The amount of knowledge you gain is astounding, and a lot of unique and cool opportunities to take advantage of compared to other retail jobs. Also being able to do things that you enjoy outside of work as part of your job is a bonus.
Cons – The leadership team is often the least knowledgeable on anything, often leaving you with nowhere to turn. They attempt to brainwash you as well with a lot of Apple-isms and if you go against anything you will fear for your job. The way promotions are given out is very sneaky and strange. They usually tell the person they want to have a promotion way ahead of time, and then act as if everyone has a chance. I've seen it happen with every promotion, even with myself. You have to pretend you don't know anything, and watch your friends interview for a position they've already given away. Very odd.

Current Employee – been working at Apple
Pros – Amazing people! The products are solid, the best you could ever own. Deals and discounts are amazing as well and some of the other employee options are a plus to working at apple.
Cons – Personal growth is impossible. I've been trying for 3 years to advance, management never has time to give any direction or listen. Answers to questions are usually "beat around the bush" responses or just completely useless and irrelevant to my position or direction that I am trying to go
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the employees, trust them enough so that they can do the job they have been hired for. Trust issues is such a huge problem, lack of communication or information that we get to do our job is not only hurting the companies appearance but the employees as well.

Current Employee – been working at Apple
Pros – - Flexible Work Schedule
- Great Staff
- Great management teams
- Great pay
- Great philosophy
- Great work environment
- Feedback from employees is appreciated by management and acted upon
Cons – - Communication from Top to Bottom is sometimes lacking (however management knows this and is taking steps to resolve it)
- The place is surprisingly "mechanical" - lots of processes and procedures. Like they say, consistency is critical.
Advice to Senior Management – - Keep working with employees to come up with solutions for issues in the stores and the company.

Current Employee – been working at Apple
Pros – Great co-workers, that make it worth coming in to work. Great salary compared to similar retailers. Every day is different.
Cons – Rude and loud customers who get what hey want for being rude and loud. working retail hours, weekends and evenings. Only know your work schedule, one week in advance. Management almost recognizes when you do a good job but is very quick to give you negative feedback when they feel you're not. Almost no room for advancement.
Advice to Senior Management – Recognize hen your employees are trying hard and doing a good job and tell them!!!

Current Employee – been working at Apple
Pros – Working with as a team with unique and extraordinary individuals. Enriching the lives of customers and through living Apple Retail's Credo. Working with the latest and greatest innovative technologies and consumer products.Offering experiences that no other retail companies comes close to comparing.
Cons – Some Customers have bad breath which makes it difficult to speak to them closely. Sometimes during busy periods, it is difficult to request time off (ie. summer before back to school and the holidays). Employee Purchases, for new take at least a month and have to be made online to receive Employee discount on products.
Advice to Senior Management – Managers have good and excellent customer service though as technology company, some managers require more technical training.

Current Employee – been working at Apple
Pros – Apple fosters an extremely positive work environment, including enthusiastic managers and staff, as well as opportunities to work with some of the coolest technology on the planet. The services offered in-store go above and beyond anything I have seen anywhere, from training customers to sharing stories about what you can do with the technology to make your life better, Apple is a company that truly goes beyond expectations.
Cons – The benefits offered part-time staff are pretty minimal compared to other places I have worked.
Advice to Senior Management – Please consider better benefits to part-time staff.

Current Employee – been working at Apple full-time for less than a year
Pros – I've worked in retail for nearly 10 years, and I'm extremely pleased to call Apple my home.
-Ability to get hired full-time right out the gate
-Very good hourly wage for entry-level Retail
-Promotions are dependent on your personal sales performance; if you know how to talk to people and can be open and inviting, you'll be fine at this job.
-Benefits are AMAZING. Health insurance is cheap and great. Tuition reimbursement, 2 weeks vacation from the get-go, sick pay, etc. I could go on and on.
-Work/Life balance. It's nice to have a life and look forward to going to work.
-You get to wear jeans to work.
Cons – -Be prepared for a lengthy interviewing process. You will attend a hiring seminar, followed by 3-5 one-on-one and panel style interviews. If you exude Apple and know how to answer basic retail interview questions, this will be easy. But be prepared to interview for two weeks to a month to get the job.
-Red Zone performance is based on overall sales performance. If you know how to sell, this should be easy. If not, be prepared to be talked to.
-At the end of the day it's still retail, so be prepared for working nights and weekends. Sat-Fri scheduling is weird to get used to, but it works.
Advice to Senior Management – Apple Retail was founded on providing the customer with an amazing shopping experience, not as a car-dealership-esque sales floor. While selling solutions is important, remember that service should always come first. Other than that, keep up what you've been doing. I love my job, and I know others do, too.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
