    Pros

    Great products, great people. The idea of a challenge. If you have an Entrepreneurial spirit and look for a challenge, clear corporate direction.

    Management has been changed quite frequently for the last 2 years which lead to loss of many talented people

    Pros

    *Solid technology
    *Newfound commitment to marketing
    *Decent salary
    *Leadership really pushing to build $1B company
    *Great opportunity in cloud marketplace for data protection

    Cons

    *Constant changes at leadership level
    *Way too many 'cooks in the kitchen', the organization is way too top heavy
    *Sales Compensation plans are capped and are not designed to drive the right business behaviors
    *Company is trying to do too many things at once
    *No room for growth

    Advice to Management

    When you make a plan, stick with it. Also, the sales compensation plans are designed for a larger company that has a market-leading technology and a commodity core product, not for a company who is trying desperately to take market-share away from larger companies and that not many people know about. Act like you care about your employees instead of treating them like a 'means to an end'. Keep investing in marketing, the biggest issue (aside from constant turnover and lack of execution) is that the marketplace is not fully aware of Acronis and all of its solutions.

    Pros

    There are many intelligent, bright people working there, but they are typically under appreciated.

    Cons

    Instead of top management kissing up to the CEO to keep their jobs, these people need to recognize who is actually getting the work done.

    Advice to Management

    Place value on the people who are working hard for you and not those who spend their time ingratiating themselves to the CEO.

    Decent technology
    Good people outside of senior management

    Cons

    CEO lacks basic business management and leadership skills and should step aside and bring in a real CEO
    Understaffed and budgeted in all areas
    No work life balance
    Limited sales and marketing budgets

    Treat employees as an asset
    Focus on reducing extremely high turn over
    Pay vendors on time

    Pros

    Company had a good CEO and people but everything was changed. New CEO is Russian, company belongs to him and it influences a lot on the way the company works.

    Cons

    Decisions are made by small circle of people close to CEO, sometimes not even professionals. Easy to get title which does not mean such experience. CEO and his management changes their mind every day, they are not able to manage their people properly and close projects successfully. There are always limited resources and new management is not able to manage them efficiently.

    Advice to Management

    Stop hiring people (management) who worked in big companies and have no idea what to do with limited resources.

    Pros

    A very charismatic CEO. I've learned a lot from him. But it does seem that he needs a reality check.

    Cons

    It's an all around nepotistic and extremely toxic environment.

    Lots of management people have been brought from a sister company that holds some 80%-90% of the market they do business in and expect they can do the same with Acronis, even though Acronis is a very different business.

    The current management does not know the business well, they are extremely nepotistic, the environment is extremely toxic.

    The head of this same management has publicly stated a little over half a year ago that the only way to manage people is to oppress and deject the employees (there was even his editorial article in a mainstream Russian newspaper titled "Fear & Loathing in the Office", which basically says it all and is the pillar of the management style at Acronis).

    A lot of very strong professionals with great expertise have left the company since and joined much better opportunities.

    The salaries at Acronis are a) subpar; b) have no average or inbetween grade -- you either get barely enough to make a living or you get a pretty comfortable buck in you are in the nepotism circle.

    - Solid higher management
    - Reputable CEO with a good track record and great work ethic
    - Laser focus on what company does the best and expansion of growing markets
    - Provide great opportunities to people as they did to me

    - Management has been changed quite frequently for the last 5 years which lead to loss of many talented people

    Advice to Management

    - Focus on hiring and keeping a top-notch people
    - Forgo the Kimball Farm already. People are tired having the company's annual outing at the same boring place. Organize something similar they do in the Russian office.

    Sadly I believe they are no pro anymore.
    It all started as a good story but

    Cons

    Terrible Management. This is a feeling that goes across the organisation. Every 6 months a new management team is starting to undo what was done before. CEO keeps changing on a yearly basis. No one but the owner himself would actually take the job. Total absence of Human resources and the little people that carry the tittle are absolutely not empowered to do their jobs. A very large majority of the good people left the company by now.
    Acronis always had the idea of selling. All they've done in the past few years it to make things shinny (new management, "big name" hiring, renaming products...) so they could sell the company.
    They have moved into "Mobility" but they have not invested in the solutions. They renamed them, but essentially it all remains what it was at the time of the acquisition of GroupLogic, which at a very good team. Sad again.

    Advice to Management

    Reporting should be done both way. Up and done.

    Pros

    You will gain the experience learning to do new things yourself when assigning with new projects.

    Cons

    There are too many layers in the organization, and the top are heavier than the ground staffs. And, communications are filtered, vision doesn't align with actions.

    Advice to Management

    Simplicity is a good vision, but adding multiple layers only makes it more complex. I see only simplicity for the CEO to manage his own business, but adding complexity to the employees to follow.

    Too many layers at the top (each having their own agenda)... adding too much workload to the bottom workforce will just push them away.

    Company wants to move further, wants to drive growth but not looking at growing their own employees. I find that it is bad. From my feeling, you are treating employees like commodities... one goes, just hire another...

    Pros

    Has some great people in the middle and lower management areas of the company who are the heartbeat and commercial engine of the company

    Cons

    Poor ego driven senior management who are more interested in gaining favour with the CEO rather than great execution and leadership. this together with disjointed process does not allow the real talent in the company to thrive

    Advice to Management

    Concentrate on being great leaders not on the title on your business card
