Former Employee – worked at Accountemps as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – If you need a job right away, they can accommodate with that. Otherwise, you are better off searching for an internship.
Cons – I have only gotten assignments that are really short-termed. These agents don't care enough to find you a position suitable for your skills, and they just need to fill a position as soon as possible.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Accountemps as a contractor
Pros – Depending on the office, there are staffing managers who will look for the right opportunities that match one's background. There was one who actually stood up for the temps during a large project (100+ temps) when the client was cavalier about the time demands. They have contacts with the major employers. They offer online training to aid in experiencing new software.
Cons – To some staffing managers, the temps are just commodities and they don't try to make good matches with their experience and career interests. They just want to shove them in the door. When an offered assignment is declined for justifiable cause, such as as skill mismatch, they don't note why in the system. (Then they'll jump on the temp for turning down something that they'd likely have been a poor choice for.)
Advice to Senior Management – Your staffing managers need to be in less of a "salesperson" mode and more in tune with the skills of those they're trying to place. If an assignment is declined for a skill related reason, Note It! You won't be replacing temps as frequently.

Current Employee – been working at Accountemps as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – They tried hard to place me.
Cons – The pay is horrible. After taxes I was better off on unemployment. While on the job, I met another contract worker who told me that Accountemps and Robert Half pay the lowest wages and now I believe it. You can purchase medical insurance but on these wages, who can afford it?
Advice to Senior Management – Give the workers a bigger share of the money you get from the employers. I was making more as a receptionist for Kelly.

Current Employee – been working at Accountemps full-time
Pros – Offers great opportunity for professional development and career advancement. Stay up to date on the latest market trends and are quick to adapt to adapt to the changing job market. Management listens to employee input and treats employees w/respect. Tenured management offers great knowledge base and very hands on in staff development.
Cons – Resources of a large company, but sometimes takes a while to roll out new technology due to the size of the organization. Currently making an effort to be more green
Advice to Senior Management – Keep the technology updates coming. They have and will continue to be a competitive advantage.

Former Employee – worked at Accountemps
Pros – Friendly, Pay regularly Willing to give you feedback. Can find jobs for people with no experience.
Cons – Unwilling to hear complaints about where you are assigned. Because they make money off you working your assignment they dont care about your assignment at all besides keeping you on it.

Former Employee – worked at Accountemps
Pros – One office is way more professional than the other.
You can make pocket change working there.
You may have consistent work.
Cons – Pay is way to low. Places they send you to treat you like a punching bag and say things that are way out of line, and you call your rep and they beg you to go back the next day. Don't count on making any friends or references at the places they send you to.
Advice to Senior Management – get better

Former Employee – worked at Accountemps
Pros – Thought this place could help me find a job
Cons – I decided to sign up for this agency after being laid off for almost 2 years. The recruiter basically told me that they could not help me find work since I have been laid off for so long. Are you kidding me? This place was a waste of my time
Advice to Senior Management – Give people a chance who have been out of work for awhile. Its not our fault that the economy is bad right now. There are still good workers out there who have a lot to offer.

Former Employee – worked at Accountemps as a contractor
Pros – They will find you work....eventually. If you luck out and get a good rep they will go to the ends of the Earth to find you an assigment, because that's how they get paid.
Cons – Your rep will treat you like you're inventory. Expect a lot of false starts (assignments that just suddenly end after a day or two). You're rep will tell you/promise anything to get you to take an assigment. Expect min. pay for most assigments 33-35 hours a week for $18/hr. If you're working an assigment don't expect to get interviews thru RobertHalf.
Advice to Senior Management – Be honest with your workers, if an assigment isn't going to go perm tell them. Don't tell me it'll go perm in a few months for $50K if it's not.
