I worked at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

If you're lucky you can get on some interesting roles, and learn from global experts who have worked on similar engagements.
Pays pretty well - much better than Deloitte, and a little lower than BCG and former Monitor
Pretty smart and capable hires at the post HBA or MBA levels.

    Cons

Very hard to find interesting work (mostly big box transformation work that feeds IT consulting).
Over focused on specialization and less focused on people's interests and growth.
When there is interesting work everyone and their cousin has their hands in it, which makes things highly chaotic both for the client and the team.
Senior management is very disorganized and don't really have a vision for what they want. So create a lot of churn and rework for Managers and Consultants.
Work life balance is a buzz word but not truly respected.
The good people always leave and the ones that stay behind are those that have made a career by back biting, politicking and putting others down, vs. demonstrating any real leadership or managerial qualities (with some exceptions of course).
The firm never truly understands their clients and usually get kicked out of longer term engagements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think about how you keep talent and sustain relationships with clients. The two often go hand-in-hand.

    Pros

if you want to learn tech skill, they offers a lot of opportunity.

    Cons

Mostly it keeps you very busy, travel from one location to another, you have no life, once it slows down a little bit, don't be happy, that 's the sign that you will be replaced by off-shore cheap resource.
