Transportation

Transportation options vary depending on the Methodist location. Generally Methodist will subsidize one of the following:

• Parking
• Metro options including rail pass, local bus pass and Park & Ride pass
• Van Pools (VPSI)

Educational Assistance

• Tuition Reimbursement – Methodist will reimburse employees for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level education courses that are job related.
• College Scholarships for Children – Methodist offers scholarships for children of employees who are enrolled in approved programs leading to a degree in health care. (To be eligible, employee must be employed for a minimum of two years full-time with Methodist.)

Employee Assistance Program

• All employees and dependents have access to resources to help with everyday challenges of work and life.

Wellness Programs

• Employees may participate in a variety of wellness programs that promote a healthier lifestyle.

Legal Assistance

• Employees may participate in a plan that provides assistance with legal matters.

Long-Term Care Insurance

• Pays benefits for stays in a nursing home or assisted living facility, as well as a host of other services including home health care, adult day care, hospice care, and homemaker services.
• Various coverage levels and lifetime benefit maximums are available.
• Offers security to you and your covered eligible dependents.

Adoption Assistance

• Reimbursed for eligible expenses for the adoption of an unrelated child after the adoption is final.
• The benefit may be applied to a maximum of 2 adoptions per year per family.
• Assists in balancing work, home and other family obligations.

The Back-Up Care Advantage Program

• Eligible employees receive 5 days per calendar year.
• This benefit provides normal child or elder/adult care services.
• Access to day center-based care or in-home care.
• Provides peace-of-mind in case your normal care arrangements are compromised.

Employees who are classified as part-time or regular full-time are eligible for coverage in our benefits program if scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week. There are differences in benefits coverage between part-time and full-time employees.

New employees who meet the eligibility criteria are eligible for benefits coverage from the first day of employment, unless otherwise specified above. The Methodist Hospital has earned worldwide recognition since it opened its doors in 1919. As a private, adult teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University, it offers the latest innovations in medical, surgical and diagnostic techniques.

Methodist Sugar Land Hospital
Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is a new-generation hospital providing quality services you need in a home-like setting. Through our unique mix of Methodist expertise, technology and specialized care, our hospital brings Methodist quality close to home.

Methodist West Houston Hospital 
Since The Methodist Hospital first opened its doors in 1919 in downtown Houston, we have strived to meet the needs of our community. Now, we serve the West Houston and Katy communities with a fifth hospital, Methodist West Houston Hospital. Methodist West Houston Hospital opened its doors to the West Houston and Katy communities in December 2010. Located at I-10 and Barker Cypress, it offers nearly 200 beds and extends several centers of excellence from The Methodist Hospital.

Methodist Willowbrook Hospital
Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is a non–profit, tertiary care hospital, offering specialized services in Northwest Houston. A recent expansion on the 52–acre campus doubled the size of the hospital facility, bringing more expertise, more state–of–the art technology, and more specialized care to the community. From emergency services and primary care to open heart surgery and advanced stroke care, Methodist Willowbrook Hospital redefines the term community hospital, exporting the world–renowned quality and expertise of The Methodist Hospital System. San Jacinto Methodist Hospital 
Since our doors first opened in April, 1948, San Jacinto Methodist Hospital has provided our community with quality medical care. Through the years, we've grown with the community, enhancing and expanding our services every step of the way. Today, San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and the Methodist offer comprehensive care for patients at every stage of life.
