Former Employee - Executive Assistant in San Francisco, CA (US)

I worked at TPG full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

free lunch, nice offices, decent pay

    Cons

executives can be curt, they see through the EAs. It's too bad because they do have a lot of quality people working with them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

executives should be trained on how to treat their EAs with respect and courtesy. people seem to be appreciative of TPG. generally nice people. there is a culture of separation between EAs and the executives. I know they are there to support them, but it does not mean they are inferior to them.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at TPG in March 2012.

    Interview Details

Started over the phone and continued in two additional interviews one more over Skype with and overseas director and one face to face at the work location. Included behavioral questions and business case based on prior experiences. Required relocation to a location still to be determined at the time of the interview.
