401(k) Plan

Riverbed provides a 401k plan with company matching.  You are 100% vested in the Riverbed matching dollars when the company funds your account. Matching contributions are made after each pay period. Eligible U.S. employees are able to enroll in the 401(k) plan after receipt of their first paycheck.

Healthcare coverage is available on the first day of regular employment for full-time employees. We also offer coverage for eligible dependents (spouses, domestic partners, and dependents).

Time Off

Full-time employees who have worked at Riverbed for one to three years get 10 paid holidays and 15 days of vacation per year. After four years of full-time employment, they get 20 days of vacation per year.

Riverbed has exciting internships and full-time opportunities for graduating Software Development and Quality Engineers! We’re looking for candidates who have: 

• received, or are pursuing, a BS/MS/PhD in CS, EE, Mathematics, or Physics (or can show equivalent skill).

• a strong, working knowledge of C/C++ and shell script development on UNIX/Linux.

• familiarity with of one or more scripting languages (Python, Perl, and shell scripting).

• a working knowledge of Unix-based OS (file systems, networking, and kernel internals)

• creative problem-solving skills.

    I worked at Riverbed Technology full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    WAN optimization was, is, and will likely be their claim to fame for the foreseeable future. Lots of smart people floating around the place.

    Cons

    Overpaying for the OPNET acquisition will continue to put them in a precarious position to meet the demands of investors whose expectations will likely exceed the companies ability to extract value from a big bet.

    Application Details

    I applied through college or university. The process took a day - interviewed at Riverbed Technology in August 2014.

    Interview Details

    Recently Riverbed visited my college to recruit for its new Bangalore office.

    First round:

    37 questions (Apti+Resoning+Programming) Time: 1hr
    Questions were relatively easy.

    Second Round:

    It was machine coding round in which they gave two questions to be solved in 1 hr.
    1 To convert a 64bit long input(hexadecimal) into decimal number.
    2. To insert n nodes in a Binary Tree and print elements in level order
      expected output : 1 2 NULL 3 4 5 NULL NULL 6 NULL NULL......

    Interview (F2F):

    There were 4 interview round (3Technical +1 HR)
    In technical Interview the interviewer started with basic questions and kept increasing the difficulty level of questions.

    They asked me mostly D.S questions as i told them that it is my area of interest.

    Later on they also asked networking and O.S question but i couldnt answer few questions as i hadnt prepared networks part well.

    They asked to write code for each problem on paper.

    • Nothing Difficult. I did some silly mistakes in coding in my interview. When you code consider all boundary conditions. They look for optimal code.   Answer Question
