Working in a commodity based industry is a bit riskier because when product prices and sales volumes fluctuate there are more chances for layoffs. Advancement into leadership roles is heavily weighted on education and individuals with degrees are often times given more opportunities for advancement.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Make sure that you are paying close attention to the people doing the tasks assigned by leaders to ensure that you have the the right people in the right leadership roles. Also remember to treat each employee with dignity and respect throughout their careers.
