    Application

    I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Marketo (San Mateo, CA (US)) in February 2015.

    Interview

    I interviewed for two different positions within Marketo and received an offer for one which ended up being rescinded in a very cavalier manner eight days later. STAY AWAY from this company. I had over 14 interviews some of which were conducted via the phone and some of which were in person as I was flown to San Mateo. I was extended a verbal offer and proceeded to negotiate the salary and starting date over the course of the next few days. During the process, I turned down two other offers. Eight days after the offer was extended, I received a phone call from the recruiter and was told my offer was being rescinded as they were going in a "different direction" with the position. No further explanation was given nor was the situation handled fairly or professionally. DO NOT trust them during the interview process or when an offer is extended. I have over 25+ years of experience and have never been treated so poorly and unprofessionally.
