Opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students
We actively recruit high-caliber, creative students completing their undergraduate or graduate degrees in a wide range of disciplines. Emerson and its businesses also offer a variety of paid summer internships and six-month co-op opportunities for students enrolled at selected colleges and universities. Our internships and co-op programs allow selected students to enhance the skills they’ve developed in the classroom and apply them in real-world situations.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks – interviewed at Emerson (Markham, ON) in November 2014.
Overall the process took about three weeks. I applied online and received a phone call within a week. The phone call was an initial phone screening/interview with HR. A few days later I was scheduled to meet with potential colleagues/people within the department. The questions were straight forward mainly asking about previous work experience and applying your experience and skills to this position. A few days later I met with the hiring manager followed by HR. Once again, the questions were fairly similar in all interviews mainly asking about previous work experience and skills while giving examples of times you faced a challenged and so on.
The interviews were great and speaking with everyone was a pleasure. They were all very knowledgeable in answering questions about the company culture and position. All were very friendly and definitely made the company seem like an amazing place to work for.
