ChemPoint hires inspired, innovative people who have a lot of ideas on how to make themselves and the company better. There is a lot of camaraderie fostered within teams and people generally seem to really enjoy working with one another. Employees tend to become fast and long-lasting friends. ChemPoint takes chances on their employees by giving driven individuals opportunities to advance and learn new skill sets. It is a great place for young professionals to start their career and build a solid foundation.

ChemPoint is limited by it's inability to compete with larger Seattle-based organizations from a compensation standpoint. Frequently, departments tend struggle with collaboration. There are often so many new initiatives and projects started (with great vision and excitement) that most never fully come to fruition. Interviews

    QR/Business Development Interview

    Application Details

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at in March 2014.

    Interview Details

It was a pretty straight forward process. After submitting a resume, I was contacted by the HR dept and had a basic screening interview over the phone. This one was actually more insightful than what followed. I was notified a week later that I would have a second interview with a Account Manager also by phone. I believe this individual was not terribly experienced in interviewing and was asked some of the cliche' questions, "Whats your greatest weakness?" Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" with out knowing how to probe deeper for the information that would unlock a persons motivations. I wound up interview him more than he interviewed me.
