    Great people to work with. Ability to participate in various projects.


    Pay is very low compared to competition, very high turnover. Very little training and development. Processes are inefficient

    Increase salaries and retain employees

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at BNY Mellon in March 2012.

    Interview Details

    The whole process was handled by a third party, except for the final interview.

    • Sometimes there are several projects/accounts within ongoing activity at the same time. It can often feel as though nothing is being accomplished. Have you had a situation like this in the past and what is your level of patience in this regard? How do you best prioritize   Answer Question
    • Have you ever been in a position where you had to delegate responsibility? How did you handle this? Did you have any problems with this?   Answer Question
    • Priorities – How do you prioritize? Specifically, which would be your priority? (i) report on new business that has come in this month (ii) an investment ($20,000,000) that has matured and needs to be reinvested once direction from client is received (iii) a Certificate of Compliance from client (iv) overdue receivables (v) interest payment.   View Answer
    • Get a call from a client at 5:00; can’t reach your manager; most everyone has left for the day. The client has indicated that there is a transaction that has been in limbo for some time, but that it is essential that the deal closes this evening. How would you respond to this?   Answer Question
