At AppFolio we create easy-to-use, web-based software that helps small and mid-sized businesses more effectively market, manage and grow their business.
Our vision is to put exceptional quality technology—usually reserved for the largest companies with ample resources—into the hands of small and medium-sized businesses. We continue to lead the way in providing our customers with user-friendly, intuitive, and innovative solutions that help them improve their workflow and exceed their business goals.
Headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, AppFolio was founded by a team of technology leaders with proven experience creating software that businesses love to use. Our Chief Strategist, Klaus Schauser, was responsible for creating Citrix GoToMyPC and GoToMeeting—two award winning web-based collaboration solutions used across the world. Jon Walker, our CTO, is considered a pioneer in the area of data migration and was responsible for creating advanced migration software that has been deployed to over 40 million computers worldwide. This strong foundation of experience has paved the way for our success and proven expertise in the SaaS industry.
At the heart of our products and services is a talented and agile team that understands the importance of listening to our customers to provide solutions that meet and anticipate their needs. As a result, our rapid growth continues to be fueled by very happy and loyal customers. Our products include web-based property management software (AppFolio Property Manager) and web-based legal practice management software (MyCase).
At AppFolio, every employee is a talented thinker with a dedication to deliver the best customer experience possible. We use an agile, customer-driven software development process and love working in small teams to create cloud-based software solutions that truly transform and simplify our customer’s business.
We’re looking for team members who thrive in a fast-paced, innovative and energetic environment. It’s important to us to have several team members meet our candidates to ensure we make the most informed decision for our team and for you. The company is doing very well and they provide high salaries and strong benefits
It's a mid-size company that grew relatively quickly. Lots of changes in internal processes that can be difficult to navigate sometimes.
Advice to Management
Stay transparent with employees. Promote from within. We have a unique culture here at Appfolio and I'd hate to see it change.
