    Electrical Project Manager (Île-d'Orléans Cable-Stayed Bridge)

    Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Quebec.

    - Project: Île-d'Orléans Cable-Stayed Bridge

    - Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

    - Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate between designer consultants and construction team. Manage designers? performance in accordance with plans, by controlling the progress and costs.
    • Respond effectively to designers enquiries/requests in efforts to support design process.
    • Lead technical meetings with the client, third parties and subcontractors.
    • Liaise with third parties, city authorities and utility asset owners to obtain approval of RFIs and design changes.
    • Read and understand the project documents and interprets design documents to the construction team as required.
    • Collect information on a weekly and monthly basis for updating the progress reports.
    • Support the project procurement and sub-contracting process.
    • Prepare change orders and back charges.
    • Ensure compliance of the Design Change Management Plan, RFI and Site Instructions processes.
    • Provide electrical construction support.
    • Plan, direct and coordinate on-site electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes.
    • Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems
    • Provide direction during functional performance testing of electrical systems.
    • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, electrical RFI?s and shop drawings and administrate. mechanical/electrical project completion requirements.
    • Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors.
    • Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports and accurately monitor material ledgers to ensure quantities in estimate are sufficient to complete the project.
    • Find solutions to conflicts in mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications and follow-up with consultants and sub-trades to completion.

    - Requirements:

    • Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • PEng. or Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification, or eligible
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction on large infrastructure types of projects
    • Experience in electrical design coordination
    • Experience with electrical systems installation
    • Working knowledge of electrical engineering systems, principles and practices
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both, French and English
    • Ability to take initiative
    • Great attention to detail
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals
