I have been working at University of Phoenix full-time (more than 5 years)

The salary and benefits. We get paid extremely well for what we do. The benefits are also unmatched with any other company I've been with. No take home work - a briefcase free job. Drama free environment, everybody is very professional.

The company is coming up out of a recession in enrollment. They are trying to save costs and therefore are only hiring on an as needed basis. If you're looking for upward career mobility, you won't find it here. You have to work a 45 hour work week (lunches are a one hour extension of your day). Shifts are determined by seniority; if you're a newcomer, expect to work 9am-6pm or possibly even a 10am-7pm shift.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give the employees some hope about future possibilities for professional/career growth. Don't be so restrictive in the job openings that actually are open, not everybody needs a PhD for a mid-level experience job.
