    Pros

It is a blast to get the community involved in local issues. The few people that care far outshine those who don't. You learn to be bold and the skills to motivate people to action. The pay is not bad and you're surrounded by people that want to affect change!

    Cons

Get used to rejection. I know it's hard to believe, but some people are rude. Period. I imagine a lot of these negative reviews come from people who were poor community organizers and likely had bad interactions because of it. If someone's not a supporter, say thank you and move on!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

During training and briefs, avoid using hyperbolic language to educate people.
