    I worked at Sage North America full-time (more than 5 years)


    -There is a lot of experienced software engineers.
    -You will learn how a big company works.
    -Several product lines to choose from.
    -Friendly people.


    -Upper management is horrible.
    - I had 5 different managers in my 6 years there, 4 of the where obviously not managers material (no advice, just focusing in the bad stuff,)
    -High, really high rotation of personal.
    -A lot of politics, it is like living in a little country with politics promising changes etc. false hopes, etc.
    -Produce lots of shovelware.
    -Upper management has no idea what it is good for business apparently.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please please please, create an actual intelligent roadmap, stop R&D wasting so much time and effort, it is not nice to work in a project for a year just to be dropped at the last minute, at least don't burn us out for that.
