    I worked at SNC-Lavalin full-time for more than 3 years


    The projects are challenging, ground breaking and huge.

    Lateral level or mid-level employees (worker bees) are often very talented and fun to learn from and work with.

    Work-life balance is one of the best I've seen in a consulting company.


    Senior management is a blind, bureaucratic mess. There is too much senior management, top heavy. Many deep cultural politics.

    No mentorship.

    And these seniors are often are not talented enough to be innovative, however, yet have worked for the company for a long time and therefore the culture within the company confuses talent capacity with seniority tender.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Cull the management that is not innovative, despite seniority level. This will breath new life into a stale and political company culture.

    Listen to suggestions from mid-level employees, invest in proper mentorship, award innovation.

    Audit the ethics of senior management; targeting employees who are mid-level will improve audit ratings, but doesn't say much as they work regular hours from open cubicles; these are not the staff that have caused major representational risks with reputation.
