I worked at Royal Bank of Scotland as a contractor (more than 3 years)

Great team atmostphere, whether contractor or not, staff were treated the same and encouraged to get involved with RBS activity. Benefits were opened up to contractors (as per recent regulatory changes) and the average day rarely went beyond 9 to 5. The majority of staff are positive, and look to the future to build a better bank, and trying to put 2008 behind them.

Some of the old RBS bad behaviour still remains in some individuals; bullyboy and nepotism can run rife, which simply proliferates, with very little retribution. Salaries don't tempt to stay either unless you are in it for the long haul - contracting elsewhere is extremely tempting... or returning as contractors.
