Former Employee - Warehouse Associate/Quality Control in Gouldsboro, PA (US)

I worked at Quidsi full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good salary for the area, meet a lot of cool and interesting people, there is a possibility of SOMEWHAT moving up in the company as long as you never want to move above a "lead".

    Cons

Absolutely no communication between managers, a "get this done now no excuses" policy that allows the company to let go of anyone who doesn't perfectly maintain their "numbers/quota". Once Amazon took over, new policies came into play that the employees were not allowed to have copies of or even ask questions about. The company kept policies hidden from employees, fired a group of 30 of them because of this "policy", and brought in 30 temp agents later (temps at Quidsi/Amazon warehouses get paid $2.50 less an hour than a Quidsi employee does.) No focus on quality, only quantity. They don't care how their orders get done as long as they make quota and get their bonuses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your heads out of your backsides, realize that someday the company is going to screw you over as well, and treat your employees like human beings and not robots.
