    Pros

    Central location, everybody is willing to help you if necessary.

    Cons

    Most people were pretty out-of-touch with one another. Work was work, and there was little attempt to make connections in the workplace. Inefficiencies were obvious and common: slow, uninterested in one's work, more emphasis on talking about achievements, skills, and accreditations, than demonstrating them, little team spirit. We were in the process of moving a department to another country, and the team on the other side seemed more interested in finding fault and blame than effective teamwork and support. Some managers were very supportive, and some were boastful and loud. This organization seemed too stuck in the old boy's club attitude, where credibility for skill and savvy were primarily bolstered by volume and arrogance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more progressive with leadership, beyond just getting the work done off a check-list. A more inspired team who enjoys working together instead of individual tasks will produce far better work, more efficiently, and value the company better.
